Solving Arabic fonts issue on OSX
Most mac users are experiancing problems with viewing arabic fonts on their browser . The cause of that issue is believed to be that installation of Microsoft office for mac, which installs several fonts to the system causing the issue to arise.
The solution to that problem is pretty simple , It can be resolved by following these simple steps :
1. If you cannot live without Microsoft office on your mac. There are some other FREE alternatives Like NeoOffice for example and de-install MS office all together.
2. If you happen to want to keep MS office . Then you have to take a trip to “Font Book” which can be found under “user/Applications/” or by just typing it in “Spotlight” (if you are using OSX Tiger) and look for the fonts called “Arial” and “Times New Roman” , Right click or “Control Click” on the font and choose the “Disable” option.
That’s it .. your browser will reset back to it’s original settings and you will be able to read arabic fonts on your browser.
