Video Chat on the upcoming iPhone?

Category : News

Another shot that shows video chat on the upcoming iPhone , sources on the net still insists that the new iPhone would feature video chat (not sure if it would support iChat), But the photo above clearly shows that it would really become a reality.

Yet again we will have to wait till Apple officially announce the feature either by WWDC o9 Keynote or to follow it up with a special media event which will mark the return of Steve Jobs.

Possibly Leaked Images of Next iPhone?

Category : News

The latest of these images come from italian site SpazioCellulare who posted an image yesterday ,The image appears to reflect many of the circulating rumors that have been released about the iPhone and as such may simply be an ambitious mockup. TUAW notes there are some unique findings to the images, however. There appears to be an extra button on the lower-side of the case (camera shutter?) and the headphone jack for the iPhone appears to have moved down to the bottom of the unit. We certainly aren’t confident that these images are real, but do serve as interesting speculation.

Some other rumors with even less evidence surrounding them include claims of iPhone Video and a German launch (iFun.de) of the next iPhone set for June 19th.

We’re only 4 days away from the WWDC keynote. Stay tuned.

iPhone Firmware 2.2 to be released tomorrow?

Category : News

Apple rumor sites have been reporting that apple would release the new iPhone firmware update (V.2.2) tomorrow “Nov 21″, This update would(might) feature the following:

- New look for the Safari with the Google search bar now occupying its own space on the title bar
- Toggle On / Off to disable the auto-correction
- 461 Japanese emoji icons
Support for new languages. (Hopefully arabic support)
- Line-in audio is activated and can be used through the headphone jack
- Google Street View, Google Transit information – Routes public transport, Walking directions, Location sharing.

So be on the look out for it, people who are still using jailbroken iPhones should hold their horses for a while before upgrading. The iPhone Dev Team have posted the following warning on their blog:

Update warning!

We’ve explained about the pros and cons of applying Apple’s updates in the past and we’ve warned against the immediate installation of these updates without knowing what they do to your device.

This is indeed true of the iPhone 3G’s upcoming 2.2 release. Installing ‘2.2’ straight away on the iPhone 3G using the iTunes auto-updater could affect your chances of any software unlock in the near future (should one be found and released), so when you see an update in iTunes await our instructions first!

Please don’t blindly install the update and then complain about it later.”
