Some Thoughts
Hello,
As you all have noticed we have been very slow in our posts and updates. The reason being is the fact that both of us were busy or away on vacation. Time is very hard to find these day since we are both busy at work. I am asking if anyone is interested in helping us out to send us an email with your name and ideas. Also, several people from all over the GCC suggested that the site be converted in Arabic. I, for one, have a hard time doing that since I can’t put together a decent sentence. If you would like to see that happen and you are willing to contribute also please send us an email. Other issues include an Arabic podcast and guides. I look forward to here from you and listen to what you have to say. Please post your comments here or on the forum.
Mishaal

Bluetooth Cure!
With the latest Apple Leopard update, Bluetooth stopped receiving files. The cure for this is to enable Bluetooth sharing from the preferences pane. Hope this helps. Let us know if there is anything else!

Script to Automate Convertion of rm files to mp3 (Update!)
I have made this simple script to help you convert your rm, real audio file, to mp3. All you have to do is download it, extract it and make sure the folder containing all the files you want to convert is the top one in Finder. It will rename the files, convert them, and then rename them back. It should be able to handle all the files in the top folder.
-Create a folder in Finder and drag all your .rm files to it.
-Run the script and wait.
-Thats it.
Note: This script assumes that you have installed ffmpegX and Real player as per the guide provided earlier!
You can download the script HERE.
Update: I have updated the script to handle errors encountered during conversion.

WWDC 2007 Predictions.
Here’s some of the meida’s predictions for what is going to be interduced at Apple’s WWDC this june 11th. Lst’s share some of them with you :
1 - Multi-Touch in Leopard - Leopard is going to be the main focus of WWDC this year, and we think one of the big surprises left in Leopard is the inclusion of the iPhone’s Multi-touch navigation. Now, We’re not saying that Apple is going to abandon the mouse at WWDC. Far from it, but we think Multi-touch will be included in the OS, and there will be some products there that support it.
2 - New GUI for OS X - We all know that the Aqua interface, while still quite nice, is getting a little long in the tooth. At WWDC expect the next generation GUI to be another secret of Leopard.
3 - New iLife w/iTunes HD - The new versions of iLife will be revealed with Leopard - possibly even as a part of Leopard itself, and will all feature HD support…including HD downloads from iTunes.
4 - Blu-Ray Support - Blu-Ray support and playback in Leopard, and Blu-Ray drive options on all higher end Macs.
5 - Leopard/iPhone integration - We don’t think we’ll be seeing too much about the iPhone at WWDC this year, but we will see how extensive the integration with Leopard is…and we expect it will be very much a part of Leopard. we don’t think it’s a co-incidence that WWDC is happening before the iPhone even comes out.
6 - New Mac Minis and Macbook Pros - With the recent update of the Macbooks, the Macbook Pros are in desperate need of CPU upgrade, and the Mac Minis are due as well. We expect to see new version of both products at WWDC if not before…
One More Thing…
7 - Ultra Portable iMac w/Multi touch screen - We don’t believe we’ll ever see an Apple tablet (made by Apple at least) but we think the time is right for a device like that to premiere. The UPiMac wouldn’t be much different than the current iMac…just thinner, lighter, and attached to a removable dock when on the desktop…but it would be portable for taking around the house to use where ever you wanted - freeing you from the confines of the desk, and giving you the freedom to use Multi-touch for a completely new UMPC experience.
feel free to leave comments or links to your own Predictions articles in the comments below.
