The new 4GB devices are priced at $79 and can hold up to 1000 songs. These new iPod Shuffles adopt a more vertical shape than the previous model, but are smaller overall.
Apple also added a new “VoiceOver” feature that allows the iPod shuffle to speak your song titles, artists and playlist names. All of the controls are located on the earphone cord.

“Imagine your music player talking to you, telling you your song titles, artists and playlist names,” said Greg Joswiak, Apple’s vice president of iPod and iPhone Product Marketing. “The amazingly small new iPod shuffle takes a revolutionary approach to how you listen to your music by talking to you, also making it the first iPod shuffle with playlists.”

AirPort Extreme and Time Capsule Update Now Available

1

Category : News

Apple has updated their AirPort Extreme Base Station and Time Capsule offerings. A few of the new features That includes:

Simultaneous dual-band support – Operates simultaneously on both 5 GHz (802.11n) and 2.4 GHz (802.11b/g) frequencies to allow all wireless products to connect on the best available band. On previous models, users wishing to permit 802.11b/g devices such as many older Macs or the iPhone or iPod touch to connect to their access point were required to run in “mixed mode” at 2.4 GHz, negating some of peformance benefits of 802.11n-enabled devices running on 5 GHz networks.

Guest networking – Creates a secondary network to allow family and visitors to connect to the Internet, while keeping the primary network with attached printers, drives, and other devices secured. The secondary network can be configured with a different password from the primary network or can have no password at all.

Access files on a networked drive from anywhere – Allows MobileMe subscribers to register their AirPort Extreme Base Station or Time Capsule with their MobileMe account, providing them access to their files from anywhere via the Internet. Drives will appear in the Finder sidebar like any other attached drive, acting just like a personal file server with remote access.

New iMac, Mac minis expected as early as today!!

Category : News

Last-minute leaks of part numbers hint Apple is about to release both upgraded iMacs and Mac minis on Tuesday — along with an emphasis on larger screens for iMacs and a likely NVIDIA-based design.

French site MacBidouille on Monday detailed new model numbers that appear to confirm AppleInsider‘s discovery of six new Apple products in resellers’ pipelines.

Of these, four models ranging from MB417 through MB420 are described as new iMacs, but with a different system balance than today’s lineup: only the first model would have a 20-inch screen, while the remaining four would have 24-inch displays.

In turn, two Mac mini models, the MB463 and MB464, would represent updated low- and high-end versions of Apple’s compact desktops.

All four would be available today and ship almost immediately, according to the claim.
