Sources all over the net indicate that Apple is in the process of manufacturing the new 3G iPhone. This new iPhone is better with 3G speeds and should be available sometime this year.

Apple has just released Time Machine and Airport Update V1.0 , This update will now allow users to hook up an external USB hard drive to their existing   Airport Extream base stations and enable remote Time Machine Backup.

Apple states :

- This update is recommended for all users and includes compatibility improvements for using Time Machine with Time Capsule, as well as AirPort driver fixes.

Adobe has started shipping Photoshop Elements 6 for the Mac. Elements 6 was first announced at Macworld in January:

Adobe detailed the new features on their website, including a number of video demos:

- Create a Group Shot from multiple photos
- Make easy selections
- Use curves adjustments

Sun announced that they are developing a Java Virtual Machine for Apple’s iPhone with the newly released Software Development Kit (SDK).

“We’re going to make sure that the JVM offers the Java applications as much access to the native functionality of the iPhone as possible,” said Eric Klein, vice president of Java marketing at Sun.

MacScoop claims that Apple is prepping refreshes to both the iMac and Mac Mini in the coming weeks.

The rumor site expects Apple to start including the 45nm Penryn chip in both the iMac and Mac mini. Meanwhile, they also expect the Mac Mini to upgrade to the GMA3100 graphics chipset used in the most recent MacBooks.
